Adoption Support Fund

The Adoption and Special Guardianship Support Fund (ASGSF) provides funding to local authorities in England to pay for essential therapeutic services for adoptive families, children with Special Guardianship Orders (SGOs), and those with Child Arrangement Orders (CAOs) who need help with trauma from their early lives. It helps cover costs for therapies like play, family, psychotherapy, and specialist assessments, allowing children to process difficult experiences, improve relationships, and build positive family lives, with support available up to age 21 (or 25 with an EHCP).
